Graveside services for Wilma E. Cantrell, 97, of Forsyth were held Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at the Chadwick Cemetery, 3PM. with Brother Benny DeWitt officiating. Mrs. Cantrell entered into rest Saturday, March 8, 2025, at her home surrounded by family. Services are under the direction of Snapp- Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
Wilma Edna Cantrell was born January 24, 1928, at Chadwick, Missouri to Chester and Bonnie (Titsworth) Cornog. She married Robert Cantrell and they were blessed with ten children.
Wilma had many occupations during her lifetime beside being a homemaker and a great mother, she picked cotton, helped on a turkey farm, oversaw a few campgrounds in the area, and worked at Port-O-Call Motel in Rockaway Beach. She attended the Pine Ridge Church in Chadwick.
She was known for her flowers, vegetable garden, cooking, fishing, and playing shuffleboard. Wilma loved her family and all the visits when they came to see her
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s Robert Cantrell and Clell Hensley; children Bill Welsh, Lee Wayne Hensley and Betty Houseman, her siblings Frank, Jack, Elza, Dave, Truman and one great grandson Samson Rogers.
Wilma is survived by her children Rick Cantrell (Tammy) of Millry, Al.; Carol Burton of Clever, Mo.; Edna Bilyeu of Fordland, Mo.; Debra Jarvis (George) Forsyth, Mo.; Teresea Nichols of Forsyth, Mo.; Brena Estepp of Blue Eye, Mo.; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren.
