Wallace Jennings, age 81, of Protem, Missouri passed away May 11th, 2024, at his home. He was born February 22, 1943, in Protem to Ora and Myrtle (Young) Jennings.
Wallace attended the old school in Protem until the Mark Twain School was finished, then went on to graduate from Forsyth High School in 1961.
Wallace married Rosie (Wiggins) in 1963. They had celebrated sixty years together. They raised 3 boys: Pernell, Mark, and Delmar.
He provided for his family in many different ways, from hard manual work to driving semi-trucks, and everything in between.
Wallace loved the Lord and enjoyed preaching God’s word. He enjoyed working on his farm and taking care of all sorts of animals. He also enjoyed playing his guitar and watching westerns.
He loved all of his family and enjoyed visiting with everyone. He never met a stranger.
Wallace is survived by his wife Rosie, two sons, Pernell Jennings and wife Jackie of Flippin, Arkansas and Delmar Jennings and wife Shannon of Protem, Missouri, a daughter-in-law Tina Jennings of Verona, Missouri, 14 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, his younger brother Finley Jennings and wife Alice of Hurley, Missouri, and other nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Josephine Jones, and his son Mark Jennings.
Services will be held Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at 10 AM in the Protem Church, Protem. Rev. Dale Roberts will officiate, with burial following in the Protem Cemetery, Protem. The visitation will be before the service, at 9AM, at the church. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth.
