Vickey Russell

Vickey Lane Russell, 70, of Springfield passed away surrounded by her family Friday, September 8, 2023.

Vickey Lane Russell was born November 11, 1952, the daughter of Roy and Thelma (Gideon) Clark.

Vickey married Stanley Russell in October 1989 in Taneyville, MO. She loved singing and had a beautiful

voice. Her absolute favorite holiday was Christmas and she loved to go all out decorating for it as soon

as Thanksgiving was over. More than anything else, Vickey loved to spend time with her family and

friends. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Vickey is preceded in death by her parents Roy H. and Thelma Clark, husband Stanley Russell, brothers

Roy D. and Lonnie Clark, and sister Gracie Reynolds. She is survived by her son Roy (Tawnya) Clark,

stepson Bryan Russell, daughter Carina (Daniel) Merrill, stepdaughter Allyson Russell (Mike George),

brothers Dwayne, Ronald, and Larry Clark, and sisters Bonnie Melton, Linda Polly, Gloria Harding, and

Mary Sims. She also leaves behind grandchildren Kyla Russell, Derek Russell, Trevor Clark, Wesley Clark,

Carson George, Meadow George, Reagan George, Piper Merrill, and Zoey Merrill, great grandchildren

Kylynn Mitchell, Alexander Russell, Huey George, and Ryker Clark and numerous nieces and nephews.

There will be a graveside service held September 24th at 2:00 PM at the Dickens Cemetery in Taneyville,

MO.  Minister Howard Kenyon will officiate.  Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, MO.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Shriners Children’s Hospital.
