Vernon William Marler, 90, of Rueter.
Vernon passed away on Mon., March 16, 2020.
He was born Sept. 8, 1929 in Cedar Creek, MO., son of Charlie and Elsie (Sisco) Marler, and remained a lifelong resident of Taney County. He married Henrietta Wyman on Dec. 27, 1948.
Vernon was known to be quick with a laugh, quick to forgive, and quick with his unforgettable hugs. He lived life to the fullest right up to the end. He loved his God, family and friends.
Vernon is survived by sons, David Marler and wife Glenda of Protem, MO., Danny Marler and wife Pam, Roger Marler and wife Michalen all of Theodosia, MO.; daughters, Sharon Clayton and husband Jim of Theodosia, MO., and Sherry Batey and husband Terry of Springfield, MO.; 11 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, siblings, and 3 grandsons.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Wyman Cemetery C/O Elwood Wyman, 33135 U.S. Hwy 160, Rueter, MO 65744.
Due to the on-going public health concerns, public safety, and Missouri Department of Public Health guidelines, funeral services for Vernon will be private. Friends are welcome to stop by the funeral home Thurs. March 19, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and sign the register book.
