Sidney Leon Coker, 78, of Highlandville.
Sidney passed away on Mon. Feb. 18, 2020 at Cox South Medical Center, Springfield, MO. He was born on May 23, 1941 at Cedar Creek, MO., son of Bill and Mary (Pierce) Coker.
Sidney was a longtime resident of Taney County, MO., He moved to Highlandville, in 1970, and worked at Sundance Ranch at Highlandville for 30 yrs, where he truly loved working with the miniature horses. Survivors include his niece Kay Adams and husband Dean of the home; children Marilyn Coker of Monett, MO., Jason Coker of Verona, MO., Junior Rouse of Aurora, MO., and Eugene Rouse of Ozark, MO.; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren, Briley Rogers, and Kato Rogers; 2 sisters, Inalee Lasiter and husband Phillip of Ozark, MO., and Wanda Whittaker of Bradleyville, MO.; and 1 brother Billy Coker and wife Alma of Ozark, MO.
Sidney is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Almeta Parsley and Freda Rogers.
Funeral Services will be held at Protem Church on Sat. Feb. 22 at 1:00 PM. Visitation will be at Whelchel Grace Funeral Home on Fri. Feb. 21, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM.
Burial will follow at Protem Cemetery.
