Roland Roy Ridinger was born June 2, 1931, at Protem, Missouri where he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of George Washington and Lilly Naomi (Copelin) Ridinger. Roland accepted the Lord Jesus Christ has his savior just a few days before his death on August 13, 2025, Forsyth, Mo.
He attended and graduated from Rhodes School, Protem. After graduation he was drafted into the United States Army. He served his country during the Korean War, of which he received many medals.
Roland married the love of his life Ruth Chapman, on May 27, 1953, at Harrison, Ark. They had shared seventy-one years together before Ruth’s passing. They were blessed with two children.
After his service in the military, he came back home where he spent his life as a husband, father, and farmer. He had a passion for coon hunting and told stories about his old dog “Brumly”. He attended the Protem Community Church, Protem, Mo.
He was preceeded in death by his parents, his wife Ruth, his son Jerry Glenn Ridinger and sister Rena Gann.
Roland is survived by his daughter Margaret Ann Ridinger of Protem, Mo., and many cousins and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, Aug 16, 2025, 10 AM until service at 11AM at the Protem Community Church, Protem, Mo. Pastor Ed Hunsacker will officiate with burial following at the Wolf Cemetery, Protem, Mo. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
