Robert D. Saforek, 90, of Rockaway Beach.
Robert died on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020 at his residence, with family at his side. He was born at Anaheim, CA., on May 24, 1930, to Jess and Dorothy Saforek.
Bob graduated from Wayland High School in Wayland, IA. He proudly served in Naval branch during the Korean War. He worked for Southern California Edison in California. He moved to Rockaway Beach in 1992 to enjoy his electrified retirement.
Bob was a member of Shalom Assembly of Yahweh.
Survivers include his wife of 19 years, Annie “Flo” Saforek; children, Robert Stephen Saforek and wife Cheryl of Holts Summit, MO, Katherine S. Snyder and husband Larry of Ozark, MO, Frank M. Saforek of Branson, MO., Leah E. Saforek Hughes of Rancho Cucamonga, CA.; stepsons, Jeff Wilson and wife Tami of Sterling, IL., Brian Wilson and wife DeeDee of Cisco, TX., Dwayne Wilson and wife Elise of Sterling, IL., and Jonny Wilson of Cisco, TX., and stepdaughter-in-law, Christina Wilson of Rockeport, MO; sister in-law, Mary Ellen Saforek of Washington, IA
24 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1st wife of 49 years, Phyllis K. Chez Saforek; brother, Ted Saforek; stepson, Delwin Wilson.
