Robert Eugene "Bob" Collins, age 76, of Taneyville, MO, beloved husband, father, papa, partner, and friend, entered peacefully into eternal rest on March 8, 2021 after his battle with heart disease and cancer. He loved life, had a contagious laugh, and loved spending time with his family and friends. Bob enjoyed fishing, hunting, westerns, raising cows, and telling stories about his adventures through life.
Bob was born January 14, 1945 to Alvin and Alice Collins of Forsyth, MO. He served in the Army for 2 years. Bob married the love of his life, Janice Kaye Harmon, on January 17, 1969 in Miller, MO, and they built a wonderful life together in Taneyville. They had two beautiful daughters, Jackie and Robin. Bob worked for the telephone company as a lineman and retired early to work full-time on his farm. His second chapter began when he met his sweetheart, Linda, in September of 2003, and they have been inseparable since.
Bob was preceded in death by parents Alvin and Alice, uncle Dean, and wife Janice. He is survived by daughter Jackie Clements, her husband Harold, and grandchildren Logan and Lauren; daughter Robin Fulkerson, her husband Doug, and grandchildren Amanda Schluterman with husband Alex, Alexis, and Avery; sweetheart of 17 years, Linda Powelson and her 4 children- Venus with husband Brian Cooper, Shannon with wife Kristina Riebold, Leslie with husband Brian Beeler, and Toby with wife Lynn Talbot, as well as 10 grandchildren- Tayla, Elias, Ashlee, Austin Lane, Austin Greer, Lynnsey, Cory, Dalton, Talia, and Taylor; sister Martha (Mart) Freund, her children Carla Braden and Randy Freund, 5 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren; and sister Janice (Gee) Wolf with husband Rusty, children Angel Wolf and Rich Wolf with wife Heidi, and 2 grandchildren. He was both preceded in death and survived by too many friends to name, and he loved them all.
