Rita Bennett

Rita Ann Bennett, 74, entered into rest on Monday, November 6, at Branson Cox, Branson, MO, from a sudden illness, with her beloved family by her side.  Cremation services were under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, MO.

Rita was born February 11, 1949, to Jewell and Ethel (DeLong) Allen in Kansas City, MO.  Rita was the loving wife of Paul Bennett, Sr. Rita was blessed with four children.  She had worked for Sears Service Department.  

Rita had moved from Columbia to Branson within the last few months to be closer to her family. She had attended the 1st Baptist Church in Versailles, MO.

She enjoyed watching NASCAR Racing and was a fan of the Kansas City Chiefs Football team.  Rita also loved spending time with her family.

 She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Paul Bennett, Sr., and a son, Nathan Gunn.

Rita is survived by her children Deanna Blackerby (Carter) of Forsyth, MO; Tammy Patrick (Shawn) of Tulsa, OK; Benjamin Gunn (Erin) of Columbia, MO;  two step sons Eddie Bennett (Sharlene) of Sparta, MO; Paul Bennett, Jr. of Freeport, ME; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be planned at a later date.
