Celebration of life service for Ray Wilkerson, 81, Forsyth, will be held Sunday, August 2, 2026, 4PM at the New Haven General Baptist Church, Chestnut Ridge, MO. Pastor Landon Binson will officiate with burial following in the Schubach Cemetery, Spokane, MO, Cremation was under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, MO.
Ray Wilkerson was born October 11, 1944, in Lebanon, KY, to Raymond S. and Hazel (Alsip) Wilkerson. He went to be with his Lord on June 26, 2026, from Hermitage, Mo.
Ray Wilkerson grew up in Sheldon, IL. Where he attended school and graduation from Seldon High School with the class of 1963.
He married the love of his life Beverly A. Williamson on Aug. 20, 1964, at the Church of Christ in Sheldon, Il. They were blessed with one son. The couple made their home in Sheldon until they moved to Forsyth in August 1981.
Ray worked for Skaggs Community Hospital, now Branson Cox Medical Center, in the maintenance department.
He took peace in the outdoors where he enjoyed watching and looking at God’s creations. Ray was a member of the New Haven General Baptist Church, Chestnut Ridge, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Beverly.
Ray is survived by his son Steve Wilkerson (Jane), two grandsons Austin & Chase Wilkerson, all of Signal Mountain, TN. sister Anne Warren (Scott Burdick) of Sulliven IL. a sister-in-law Sharon Smith of Sheldon, IL, and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews all in IL, he will also be remembered by numerous friends.
