Phillip Harter Obituary

Phillip Lynn Harter, 69, of Forsyth, MO, passed away April 21, 2025, at Quail Creek Skilled Nursing in Springfield, MO, surrounded by family and friends. He was born on July 7, 1955, in Branson, MO, to Andrew and Mildred (Keck) Harter. Phillip attended and graduated from Branson High School, and furthered his education at DeVry Institute of Technology in Kansas City, MO. He worked at C Biz as a computer technician for most of his career. Phillip was very proud of his service to his country in the United States Navy.

He was a member of the American Legion, Elks Club and the Knights of Columbus, serving as their Grand Knight 3rd and 4th Degree. He was a part of one of the first families to establish Our Lady of the Ozarks Catholic Church in Forsyth, and was a faithful worker and supporter to the church until his passing.

Phillip was proceeded in death by his parents.

Phillip is survived by two brothers, Steven Harter of Branson, MO, Robert Harter (Janie) Harter of Butler, KY, three nieces, one nephew, and eight great nieces and nephews. He leaves behind many amazing friends as well.
