Mathew J. Baumgarner, 18, of Branson, MO.
It is with great sadness that the family of Mathew James Baumgarner, born December 21, 2001, announces his passing on March 14, 2020. He was 18 years old. He was born and raised in Branson, MO, and for a short while lived in Monett, MO.
He attended Branson High School, where he graduated early, and was waiting to walk across the stage. He also attended Monett Junior High and High School. He was an avid basketball and football player. He worked for Splash Country as a lifeguard. He loved his job. In his spare time, he was playing video games, hanging with his friends, and fishing.
Mathew is survived his mother, Casarae Baumgarner, of the home; his father, Robert Ruskin, of Kentucky; brother Keaton Baumgarner, of the home; maternal grandmother, Louanna Flint of the home; grandparents Jeffrey and Eugene May of Merriam Woods; grandfather George Flint of Neosho, MO., and Greg Baumgarner of Kentucky. He has lots of cousins, aunts, and uncles. He is preceded in death by Great Grandmothers, Karen Jackson, of Branson, MO,, and Susie Gibson of Victoria, Texas; and, paternal aunt, Kelly Herlinger, of Arkansas.
There will be a memorial service in his honor Saturday, March 21, 2020 at the Shadow Rock Park Pavilion in Forsyth, MO at 1pm.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials, in care of the family, to offset funeral expenses.
