Lizzie Clift, 89, of Hollister, MO
Lizzie Clift passed away on May 11, 2019, with her son at her side. She was born July 16, 1929 in a small cabin at Cedar Creek, MO., one of eleven children born to William and Anne Schwyhart.
Lizzie was a lifelong resident of Taney County, MO., she had owned and operated several cafés and cafeterias in Branson. Lizzie was member of Hollister Presbyterian Church. She had a work ethic like no other and was proud to boast, that she could out work any man half her age with a weed eater and proved it on several occasions. Lizzie Loved her vegetable garden. She always said when she was in her garden it was like being in Heaven.
Survivors include her son, Michael Cox of Reeds Spring, MO.; two sisters, Mary and Nora; and brother, Gene.
Preceding her in death her parents; 7 siblings, and husband Riley Clift.
Cremation has been entrusted to Whelchel Grace Funeral Home, Forsyth, MO. A memorial service will be held on Sat., 25, 2019., at 11:00 AM, at Hollister Presbyterian Church.
