"L.T." Levi Truitt Collins

"L. T." Levi Truitt Collins, 89, of Bradleyville.

He was born on July 16, 1931 at Cedar Creek, MO., son of William J. and Eunice (Blackwell) Collins.  L.T. passed away on Wed., March 31, 2021, at his home with his family by his side. He had been ill for 11 months. He was a lifelong resident of Bradleyville, MO. At the age of 17, he was saved at a revival in Cedar Creek. He served in the Army during the Korean War. L.T. was an avid woodsman and worked at several local sawmills. After the death of his first wife Lorene in 1975, he married Barbara Moore Gimlin on June 9, 1977 and they raised 10 children between the two of them.

Survivors include his wife Barbara Collins of the home; children; Glee Clubb of Forsyth, MO., Mamie (Ann) Blair and husband Tim of Bradleyville, MO.; Lana Thomas and husband Mike of Fair Grove, MO., Shawna Phillips and husband John of Fair Grove, MO.; Levi Collins and wife Hollie of Springfield, MO.; Ronda Turner and husband Rick of Taneyville, MO., Chuck Gimlin and wife Missy of Ozark, MO., David Woody and wife Lesa of Clever, MO., and Sam Gimlin of Springfield, MO.; brother Jr. Collins and wife Helen of Cedar Creek; sisters Oleta Beeler and husband Ernest of Branson, Jean Cummings of Walnut Shade, Dobie Youngblood and husband Frank of Galena; sister-in-law June Collins of Forsyth; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents; wife, Lorene Colins; son Doug Gimlin; son in-law Richard Clubb; and siblings, Earl Collins, Scott Collins, Opalee Rogers, and an infant sister.
