Jesse Raymond Tomerlin

Jesse R. Tomerlin, 77, of Rockaway Beach, Missouri.

Jesse peacefully passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021, at Cox Hospital in Branson, Missouri.  He was born October 13, 1943, in Alton, Illinois, the son of Arthur M. and Irene (Breeden) Tomerlin.  He was preceded in death by his parents. 

Jesse is survived by his wife Marlene and his son Jay and his wife Patty of Alton, Illinois, and grandson Brian and his wife, Mary, of Springfield, Missouri.  He is survived by his brother, Art Tomerlin, of Godfrey, Illinois.

Jesse graduated from Roxana High School and then attended Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville (SIUE), majoring in accounting.  Jesse owned Tomerlin Bookkeeping Service of East Alton, Illinois. Jesse retired in 1988 enabling him and Marlene to travel and spend winters in Florida. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the St. Louis Cardinals and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Jesse was a 55-year member of the Wood River Masonic Lodge, a member of the Ainad Rolling Nobles, the Wood River Moose Lodge and the sons of the East Alton American Legion.
