Ida May Harmon, 89, Forsyth entered into rest on Jan. 23, 2026, at Point Lookout Nursing and Rehab Hollister Mo. She was the daughter of Harrison and Violet (Seward) Hampton. Ida May was born June 10,1936 in Branson, Mo. She attended and graduated from the Forsyth school system. Ida worked as a secretary for an LP Gas Company in the area.
Ida May Hampton married Loren “Slim” Harmon and to this union they were blessed with three sons.
She attended Taneyville Union Chapel when she was able. Ida enjoyed being outdoors planting and harvesting produce from her garden and admiring her flowers. She liked going to garage sales and traveling the area to enjoy music played by her neighbors and acquaintances at music gatherings.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Rick Harmon and a great grandson Skyler Sanders.
Ida May Harmon is survived by her two sons, Gene Harmon (Diana) of Ozark, Dean Harmon (Carrie) of Branson, a daughter-in-law Sandy Harmon of Bradleyville, seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Arrangements are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
Burial will be held at a later date in the Garrison Cemetery, Garrison, Mo.
