Glenda Jean Marler, 67, of Protem, gained her heavenly home on December 29, 2023. Her celebration of life service will be Friday, January 5, 2024, at 10 AM in the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth. Jeremy Henson will be officiating, with burial following at the Wyman Cemetery, Rueter, Mo.
Glenda was born April 4, 1956, in Kansas City, Mo. to Glendale and Imogene (Ward) McGinnis. She spent most of her childhood in Ozark County, attending Lutie School. Later she moved to Pittsburgh Kansas, with her mother and stepfather JR Bias, and graduated from Liberal High School in Liberal, Mo. in 1974.
Glenda met William David Marler, the love of her life, at the post office in Reuter, Mo. in 1973. They were later married on June 1, 1974. To this union they were blessed with two children, Annette Dawn and Clint William.
Glenda was a Christian who knew Jesus. She was employed by Baxter Labs, Mountain Home, Ark. Show-Me-Video in Theodosia, Mo., Morris Oil in Branson, and currently by Youngblood Construction where she had been employed for the last twenty-five years.
Glenda enjoyed her grandkids, planting and making flower arrangements, sewing, and making Christmas Cards.
She was a wonderful homemaker and loved taking care of her family. She was loved and will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glendale McGinnis, Imogene Bias and her stepfather JR Bias.
Glenda is survived by her husband David Marler of the home, her two children Annette Russell (Mark) of Kissee Mills and Clint Marler (Shellie) of Oldfield, her grandchildren Erica (Adam), Mark (Molly), Colton (Jordyn), Wyatt (Chloe), Izabella and Emma, one great-grandson, Malcolm, and her sister Janice Lintner (Rich) of Wellsville, KS as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Thursday January 4, 2024, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM at the Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Funeral Chapel, Forsyth. In memory of Glenda memorials may be sent to the Wyman Cemetery %Elwood Wyman, 33135 Hwy 160, Rueter, Mo. 65744.
