Florence Maxine Bilyeu of Walnut Shade went to be with the Lord Sunday evening, August 28, 2022, at the age of 89. She will always be remembered for her generosity and spunky spirit. She loved giving away her beautiful homemade quilts to family and friends. Maxine was a charter member of the Walnut Shade General Baptist Church. Her delicious home-baked pies helped raise money for many projects there.
She was one of the first Bell Telephone operators in Modesto, California, and worked for Sammy Lane Resort in Branson for many, many years.
Maxine was born to Nelson and Gladys Smart in Huggins, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her husband Freddie Ray Bilyeu, and husband Ronnie Timmons. She was a loving mother of five children; and also Ronnie’s son, Travis Timmons.
She is survived by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. She will be greatly missed.
Plans for a memorial service are pending.
