Facio "Al" Armando Chavez

Facio Armando Chavez, 85, passed away peacefully in the early morning on Tuesday, September 16, in Forsyth, Missouri. He was born to Manual and Maria (Gabaldon) Chavez June 16, 1940. 

Al, as most knew him was born in New Mexico, grew up in Los Angeles, lived in Oklahoma, Kansas City, Tennessee, and retired in Kissee Mills Missouri, and Yuma, Arizona.  

Al enjoyed life. Some of his favorite things were golf, classic cars, cooking, boating, tinkering in his many garages, golf cart rides with the dogs, and intellectual conversation.  

He is survived by his wife Teresa, son Eric Chavez of San Diego CA, daughter Erin Surratt (Brian) of Kansas City MO, daughter Angie Hoffman (Byron) of Ozark MO, brother Larry Chavez (Carol) of Darby MT, grandsons Lewis and Carter Surratt of Atlanta GA, and his beloved dogs Tita and Coco. 

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Taney County Animal Shelter, 255 Critter Trail, Hollister, MO 65672. 

Visitation, Sunday September 21, 1:30-3:30PM at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, 16560 US Highway 160 Forsyth, MO.
