Exie Marvin Case was born June 28, 1929, to Delbert and Gladys (Warren) Case at Garrison, Missouri. He entered Heaven on September 7, 2021. He attended Surratt School through sixth grade. He then worked many jobs, including helping in the family store and some of the local farmers doing odd jobs.
At the age 17 he met the love of his life, Jessie Jane Hires. They wed in 1948 and were married for 72 years. He joined the Air Force in 1952 serving as a mid-air refueler and was stationed in England, Greenland and other parts of the world. He was stationed in Amarillo, Texas when his daughter, Deborah Lynn, was born in 1954. He served four years before leaving the military. He was self-employed, owning and operating many businesses, including logging, sawmill and grocery and feed store with his wife and daughter and son-in-law, bulldozing, and many years as a fabricator for Southern Construction. He had cattle and baled many hundreds of bales of hay for many, many summers. He had an amazing mathematical mind and could build or fix anything.
He is survived by his daughter, Deb; four grandchildren, Tracy Sherrow, Mike and Tami Combs, Kerry Kellett and Katie and Darin Hodges; eleven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors, including Eudell and Debbie Aldridge. He is preceded in death by his wife Jessie, his parents Delbert and Gladys, sister Marjorie and brother-in-law Bert, and son-in-law, Roy.
