Charles H. Hurst, 89, of Kissee Mills, MO
Charles Hurst died on Sat., July 6, 2019, at his residence with his family at his side. He was born on Jan. 15, 1930 in Cedar Creek, MO., to Obie and Elizabeth (Persinger) Hurst.
Charlie married Imogene on Sept. 15, 1948 in Pocahontas, AR. Together they moved to Sacramento, CA., where he worked for the Pacific Fruit Express Railroad. In 1997 Charles retired and moved back to Kissee Mills, MO. In his younger years Charlie enjoyed hunting, but he was an avid fisherman. His fishing buddies knew him as “Catfish Charlie”. He attended Faith Assembly of God Church in Forsyth for 22 years.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Hurst; children, Janet Hutchinson of Taneyville, MO., Dennis Hurst and wife Deborah, Steven Hurst and wife Judy, and Rickey Hurst and wife Mary all of Kissee Mills, MO.; 9 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Verna Trice, Kenneth Hurst, Irene Siders; and grandson, Jeremy Hurst.
