Charlene Eggleston Obituary

Funeral services for Charlene Eggleston 78, Forsyth, will be held Saturday April 27, 2024, 5 pm with visitation starting at 3 PM. at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Missouri. Officiating will be Pastor Chris McCullison and Pastor Jack Holland. Charlene passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Forsyth, Missouri on April 24, 2024.

She will be buried at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield, Missouri later.

Charlene was born February 3,1946 at Brownwood Texas. Charlene was the daughter of   Charles and Mary (Browning) Harriss. Charlene married Larry Dale Eggleston on December 30, 1981, at Sweeny, Texas. They had enjoyed 43 years together prior to Larry’s death, in 2023.

Charlene loved her cats, playing bingo, and playing cards with family. She also enjoyed traveling, but most of all enjoyed time with her family. Charlene attended Forsyth Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband Larry, her parents, stepdaughter Kristi Knopp, and brother Melvin D. Harriss.  

Charlene is survived by her stepson Steven (Julie) Eggleston, Lake Jackson, Texas, two daughters Eloise Shippey, Forsyth, Mo. Mary (Randy) Bennett Hindsville Ark. eight grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.
