Casimer "Casey" Constance Osowski

Casimer “Casey” Constance Osowski, 91, of Forsyth, passed away Sunday March 14, 2021 at Cox Hospital Branson.

He was born February 18, 1930 in Mosinee, Wisconsin, the son of Carl and Anna (Sudaski) Osowski.

Prior to Casey enlisting in the Army, he was a pressman, well driller, and bulldozer operator.  After basic training he was assigned to the Song-Do Long Lines Signal Group as a diesel mechanic during the Korean War.  During that time, he received a commendation for outstanding services rendered while performing the duties of Powerman and Diesel Mechanic to the Pusan Repeater Station.  He had round-the-clock responsibilities of keeping the diesel power units operational.  He never allowed a power unit to suffer a serious power failure. A serious failure would jeopardize his unit’s ability to operate telephone and telegraph communications between Japan, Korea, and Pusan, and could jeopardize the safety of his fellow soldiers. Beyond his normal duties, Casey installed security lights, planned, and helped with construction of a troop shower room with heated water, and built a Day Room for his fellow comrades, in order to improve living conditions and troop morale while overseas.

After the war, Casey and his brother Gene started a successful construction company, building residential homes and apartments. Afterward, Casey used his diverse skill set to expand and maintain a 900 unit mobile home park.

Casey is survived by his wife of 59 years, Cheryl; son David and wife Linda; son Casimir Jr.; daughter Susan and husband Frank Bauer; and grandson Noah Osowski. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Genevieve, Carroll, Vacen, Chester, and Gene.

Casey was a friend to many.
