Carol Joan Yoder, 83, of Kirbyville, Missouri went to be with her Lord on September 7, 2025, at Cox Medical Center South, Springfield, MO. She was born to Joseph and Velda (Gable) Graber February 25, 1942, at Rolette, North Dakota.
Carol attended and graduated from the Rolette School system in Rolette, ND in 1959. She graduated with a degree in accounting from Hesston College in Hesston, KS in
1961.
She married the love of her life, Dewey Yoder on October 11, 1962, at Lakeview Mennonite Church in Wolford, North Dakota. They were blessed with three children. This past fall they had celebrated sixty-two wonderful years together.
Carol was very active in her community helping others. She had many occupations such as a bookkeeper, accountant, and CNA for home health and hospitals, in addition to being a help mate to her husband and a great mom.
Carol’s favorite hobby was quilting, from which she made many quilts during her lifetime. Growing up in a farming community, she enjoyed driving around looking at the many different crops growing during the year. Even when they moved to Marshall, TX and then on to the Ozarks, she enjoyed driving around and looking at God’s Handiwork. She will be remembered for her infectious laugh and wonderful smile. Carol is member of the Forsyth Methodist Church, Forsyth, MO.
Carol is survived by her loving husband, Dewey Yoder of the home; three children, Susan Lawrence (Bruce) of Ozark, MO, Shana Yoder of Kirbyville, MO, and Chad Yoder
(Linda) of Weatherford, TX; two grandchildren, Anna Yoder Grove (Bryce) and Brody Lawrence; sisters Joann Schrock of Middlebury, IN, Marlene Thompson (Terry) of
Washburn, ND, and twin sister Connie Snell (Allen) of Hollister, MO; brothers Jack Graber and Sherman Graber both of Rolette, ND; and numerous nieces, nephews,
other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Monte Graber.
