Memorial services for ”Bob” Robert L. Cook, 65, Taneyville will be held Saturday, January 6, 2024, 1P.M. at the New Beginnings Church, Taneyville. Pastor Austin Sutton will officiate. Military rites will be provided by the Army and Branson Veterans of America #913. The burial will be held at a later date in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Springfield. Services are under the direction of Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel. Mr. Cook entered into rest on Jan.1, 2024 at the Missouri Veteran’s Home, Mt. Vernon, Mo.
Robert Lloyd Cook was born March 27, 1958, Independence, Missouri to Lloyd and Mary Eileen (Myers) Cook. They had moved to the Taneyville area when he was a child. Bob attended the Taneyville Apostle Church which is now the New Beginnings Church. He attended and graduated from Forsyth High School. Bob served his country in the United States Army. Upon leaving the Army he went to work as a truck driver coast to coast.
He loved his family and visited them as often as he could. He enjoyed putting model cars together, fishing and photography. Bob had a great talent for photography.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Bob is survived by his sister Leah Firestine of Taneyville, brothers Roy Cook of Taneyville, and Richard Cook of Forsyth. He will be missed by numerous family and friends.
