Service for Barbara S. Barrett, 79, Forsyth, will be held Tuesday Nov. 12, 2024, 2PM at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth. Burial will follow in the Dickens Cemetery, Taneyville. Mrs. Barrett went to be with her Lord Tuesday, November 5, 2024, from Branson Cox Hospital, Branson.
Barbara Sue Barrett was born Feb. 14, 1945, in St. Louis, Mo. She was the daughter of George Edward and Stella Ruth (Punch) Fugate. She graduated from Troy Buchanan High School, Troy Mo. Barbara married the love of her life Phillip Barrett, and they were blessed with seven children.
In her younger years her occupation was as a beautician. In later years she did what she loved, being a homemaker, mother, grandmother, basically taking care of her family with devotion.
For a short time with her husband and a group of friends they traveled the states singing and witnessing for the Lord. Barbara had a beautiful voice and used it for the Lord. She was also a talented artist.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Phillip Barrett, two sons Tyson and James, one daughter, Hope Barrett, one granddaughter Stephanie Twellman and one grandson Bradley Barrett.
Barbara is survived by two sons Jeff Barrett of Forsyth, Scott Barrett of Wright City, Mo.; two daughters Kathy Barrett of Forsyth, Cheyenne Barrett of Kissee Mills, Mo. , daughter-in-law Brenda Plume (Rich) of Troy, Mo., two grandsons Ozzy and King Kephart, two granddaughters Nicole Gnade (Lenny) of Moscow Mills, Mo., Stephanie Baker (Brad) of Branson, Mo. and a host of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 11, 2024, 4-6 P.M. at Snapp-Bearden Forsyth Chapel, Forsyth, Mo.
